DETROIT, Mich. (WILX) - The NCAA Men’s Final Four is set to come to Detroit in 2027. While this has been known for several years, officials are set to unveil the event’s logo on Friday in Detroit. Michigan State University will serve as the host of the Final Four.

The logo pays homage to the city, with the "313" area code and a basketball that doubles as a record in a nod to "Hitsville," with the brackets meeting to "Detroit" in the middle. That's all in a hexagon that appears to double as a street sign as Indianapolis-based Section 127 designers looked to honor Detroit's auto tags and industrial roots.
The NCAA announces Final Four hosts in four-year cycles. Las Vegas, Indianapolis and North Texas will host the event in 2028, 2029 and 2030 respectively. MSU will serve as host of the 2027 edition in Detroit. The University of Detroit Mercy was the host school for the 2009 Men’s Final Four.
