Cubs to sign Tyler Austin to major league deal
The Cubs and first baseman Tyler Austin have agreed to a one-year major league deal, reports Jeff Passan of ESPN. He’ll make $1.25MM plus incentives, reports Jon Heyman of The New York Post.
The Cubs are in the market for a top-of-the-rotation starting pitcher, and David Schoenfield of ESPN predicted them to land Framber Valdez, previously of the Houston Astros.
